On The Island of Guam
There maybe a fiesta going on at the time of your stay, or maybe you’ld like to go to the Sat. morning flea market in Dededo, or the Wed. night market at the Chamorro Village and have barbeque for dinner, stroll through the vendors with their local treasures, listen to music or jump in and chacha.
Sometimes we have unscheduled typhoons, which two of our previous guest have encountered. As much as I wish you all a "sunny day", I cannot control the weather. August is our wettest month. Dec. thru Mar. is the best. Then it gets hot n dry.
There are an assortment of rental cars agencys, and you can ask me for my suggestion on a good local one.
Make a day at the beach. We have snorkel equipment for you if you want to take a dip in the Philippine Sea and see the coral and tropical fish. Also available, beach mats, beach towels, and beach toys for the kiddies.
And around the island tour is a must, taking in Latte Stone Park, Peseo de Suzanne, War in the Pacific National Historical Park, Fort Soladad, Gadao Cave, Talofofo Caves, Two Lovers Point, Southern Mountain Overlook, Inarajan Pools, Apra harbor, Piti guns, Gaan Point, Merizo Pier and more.
If boonie stomping is your thing and you want to hike to a waterfall, then bring your stomping shoes. You can also join up with the local hiking group on Saturday mornings for $2. Let me know in advance and I can hook you up with kayaking and a guide.
Anyone for Shoppeeeeing? Duty Free Galleria, Macy’s at the Micronesia Mall, Guam Premier Outlet, Agana Shopping Center, Kmart, and lots of small shops like Tropical Living and Mariana’s Handicraft all take plastic and a signature.
Golf anyone? The range of golf courses on island is wide enough to keep golfers of varying abilities challenged.
